Vacation!!! Summer!!! YAAAY!!!

Roses, they are just the palest pink, very pretty.
Giant Hostas take over the World!!!! Or at least my side porch steps.
Mushroom by the side of my house.
We went to Watkins Glen on Sunday for breakfast and walked around by the pier.
This is what happens to Baaaad husbands! So husbands beware!
Looking off the pier at all the geese and boats.
 Baby!
ARGH Matey! Pirates attack Watkins Glen - news story at 6:00.
Random yellow flowers growing between rocks.

WHAT'S HAPPENING -
School is over. I am all done with kids till September (after today). Yay! Its been a good year. But I am ready for summer and some fun! If you drive by and see me sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, honk and wave! Or better yet, stop by and maybe I'll give you a cup or glass too!

Tomorrow, Saturday, is our 17th Wedding Anniversary!!!
We are just going out to dinner to one of our favorite places. We like to celebrate quietly.

I don't think I will be talking to you again for at least 2 weeks. I am going on vacation for a while, down south to visit relatives. I hope to have lots of stories and pictures to share when I get back. Please pray for safe travel! I got some really good flights for some really good prices, so I was happy with that!

TV -
SYTYCD - Well I was very very sad to see Wadi go home :-(  I really liked him.
But then when they did the girls I was texting my daughter, not paying attention, knowing for sure that Ryan was going home... then heard they were going to save - RYAN!!! My head popped up, Ryan? Oh my gosh! They are keeping Ryan! Yay!
My top favs -
Girls - Melanie Moore, Ryan Ramirez, Sasha Mallory, Ashley Rich
Guys - Jess Leprotto, Marko Germar, Robert Taylor Jr., Wadi Jones

KNITTING - My socks that I designed! Yay! They fit good, they look good, and they are soft and comfy! (click on picture to see close-up)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT - The daughter being... herself.
You could click on the pictures for a close-up, but that could be scary!

  1. Love the rose, so beautiful.
Love your socks...I like cables. They look hard to make but are really so easy to make.

Great pictures of Watkins Glen, I have always liked Watkins Glen. Reminds me of a typical New England small town. Unique shops.

    Bad husbands????? shame on Glen!

What can I say about Ashley, My a little bit kooky grand daughter, is just being herself. Thats what I love about her. She has come a long way...so proud of her and her accomplishments.

Shopping, shopping and more shopping and yes we will go to Makinos to eat!!!!!!!!
    Love ya,
    Mom

  2. Love the rose and mushroom photos.

I came to see your knitting (you know me by now on that). I love that you designed the socks yourself. Doesn't it feel great? I have just listed my first Ravelry pattern, and it sold (one time) in the first 24 hours.

And did you know that my daughter Wendy is getting started writing and self publishing on Amazon? She has a novel close to ready to list, she already has one short story. Think she is going to un-publish and re-publish it.

And last, but not least. Are you on facebook?

  3. Wasn't sure if I could reply to your email...I did answer you on my blog. I won't repeat here, because your blogging buddies don't want to see about my knitting. Come back and see what I said.

Oh, and I will let you know when I get it ready to sell.

  4. Well, what can I say... I'm a bit crazy!

That's SO WEIRD that you posted a picture of the random yellow flowers between the rocks! Just the other day I was in Watkins Glen with David and we were walking the pier and I suddenly stopped and said "Dave! Look at those yellow flowers growing between the rocks!!!" Like mother like daughter I guess. :) Lo
