Almost blown away!

The Wisteria in front of my house is finally in full bloom!

WHAT'S HAPPENING - Things are finally settling down after last weekends little wind storm. There are branches down all over the place, but no real damage. Our power never went out, just kept flickering all day. A lot of places in NY lost power. I heard (through the grape vine) that a tree fell against my sister's house, took some siding off and wiped out the elec. and phone, everyone's OK. Did anybody else get a big wind storm?
Glen and I got a new desktop computer!!! LOVE it! We bought it with Tax return money (thank you IRS). It has a widescreen/flatscreen monitor, windows 7 (which so far I love), it is sooooo quiet and so much faster I can't hardly believe it! When I downloaded my camera software I seriously couldn't hear it running! I will take some pictures and post them next week.

TV -    *****SPOILERS*****

Amazing Race is over - My "cowboys" came in 2nd, the "brothers" won.
American Idol - After tonight it will be down to the final 3! Sorry, but I was glad to see Aaron go home last week. Just wasn't good enough.
Survivor - HA! I loved it!!! Finally a show I loved! Russell I sure hope you are history soon. Parvati, even thought I do not like you, I do have respect for you. Candace - you totally got what you deserved! And, i just plain never did like Danielle.
Dancing w/ the Stars - Niecy Nash goes home, she should go home, she was the worst dancer of who was left, but I will miss her. She was cute, funny and had such a good heart. So - will Nicole win? what do you think? She is my fav. but it is not a given.

KNITTING - I finished the little socks I was making! I love them!
I love it when - you are using left over yarn from another project and you get almost finished when you realize you might not have enough! Then you finish with this much left! Whew!!!

BOOKS - Read 2 fantastic books!
"Claire Knows Best" by Tracey Bateman. The second in the Claire Everett series. I gotta tell you, I am loving this series! If all her books are like this I am a fan! This is a Christian Chick-Lit book. It is funny and heartwarming. It seems like Tracey is writing about me. Claire will say something and I will think "I would have said that exact same thing!" So its kinda like reading about myself.

"Where the Heart Leads" by Kim Vogel Sawyer, The sequel to "Waiting for Summer's Return". I love this Author too. I feel so lucky to get to read so many great books! This was a Christian Historical Fiction. This kept switching back and forth so much I had no idea how it was going to end, it was great! I was pleasantly surprised. It took place in both Kansas and Boston.

Here is a map of the "12 countries in 12 months" books I have read so far. I am traveling around the world!

Thanks for the heads - up on the contests. I love entering them.
We are supposed to get another storm Friday {I think}, just what TN need more storms. Nashville is still trying to recover from the last storms that went through.

  5. Those socks are so cute!

I voted in your poll for the root canal. I've had two (long time ago now) and I can tell you that they were absolutely painless. The worst part about getting a root canal is that it's boring! It's too bad one can't read or knit during it...
