Book Review and Giveaway!

Double Trouble, by - Susan May Warren

About the book:
With one solved case under her belt, PJ Sugar is ready to dive into her career as a private investigator. Or at least a PI's assistant until she can prove herself to Jeremy Kane, her new boss. Suddenly PJ's seeing crime everywhere. But is it just in her head, or can she trust her instincts? When she takes on her first official case-house-sitting for a witness in protective custody-Jeremy assures her there's no danger involved. But it soon becomes clear that there is someone after the witness . . . and now they're after PJ, too.

My Review:
I gave this book 4 stars. I liked it a lot! I knew I was going to like it because I like books that are - quirky, fun, a little bit of love, excitement, easy reading, and just all round enjoyable (and this book has it all)! It is a mixture of Chick-Lit and Mystery. Only kind of lite on the Mystery and heavy on the Chick-Lit. I found myself giggling all throughout the book. The main character, PJ is VERY likable. Actually I loved her! She reminded me of Sandra Bullock in "Miss Congeniality". So if you liked that movie, you will love this book. Her longtime boyfriend, Boone, just annoyed the heck out of me. He was very condescending, controlling, and he just rubbed me the wrong way. I don't think you were suppose to hate him, but I really do not like guys like that. He did bring out passion in me though. I kept telling PJ to just stand up to him, tell him to stop telling you what to do! I did like her boss, Jeremy. He kinda reminded me of Luke on Gilmore Girls, LOL. I also loved that her boss shared in her faith in God and was not afraid to talk about it.
I really enjoyed reading this quirky, fun book. I would not hesitate to read another one by Susan May Warren.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes "cozy mysteries" or Chick-Lit.
