Snow, Sleet, Ice!!

It's been kind of a crazy week. We got some snow, some ice, some sleet, and I guess we are suppose to get some more! Tug Hill got slammed. They got about two feet of snow the past two days. I bet you are wondering "So what, who cares about Tug Hill?" Well that just happens to be where Glen goes snowmobiling! So the more snow they get the better! After our last ice storm, I fell on the ice in back of our house. My feet flew out from under me and my hip landed on the edge of our stoop. Yeah, ouch! I couldn't hardly walk that first day. It was sooo painful. Now it just feels like a bruise, and it is much better. It turned all kinds of pretty purple!

Ashley is coming home this weekend for a long weekend, not sure exactly when. It depends on when she has to work. They already scheduled her to work before she put in for vacation. I hope she can at least come home for a couple of days. We have some serious shopping to catch up on.

I finished the book "Whistling in the Dark", It was very good, great ending. Lots of twists. I am now reading "In the Wilderness: Coming of Age In Unknown Country" By - Kim Barnes. It is a Biography. For those of you who don't know me that well, I love biographies and nonfiction books. I think it is just knowing that it really happened. The book is about growing up in the logging camps in Idaho during the 50's - 60's.

My shawl!!! Two down, Three to go! I think I will take a break from it for one week and crochet a doily. I haven't crocheted in a long while and I think the next section on my shawl will go faster if I take a break.

My daughter and my two nieces in CT have blogs also. I put links to theirs on the right.

Well we are suppose to get 4-7" of snow today, so I am off to get groceries before it starts.

    Glad your hip better.
I hate snow and cold I guess thats why I'm here in TN where right now it is 60*. Very windy here though.
    Could get rain late today.
Sounds like good books you are reading. I also like to read. (must run in the family TeeHee)

  2. "it turned all kinds of pretty purple" I showed Kat that line and she laughed and shook her head.

I love snow... which reminds me... mom, I talked to Mr. Baker about Alaska.
