Happy First day of Summer!

 MY NEW CAR!!!!

Taking a walk -

WHAT'S HAPPENING -  Well as you can see, I got my new car! Yea!! Very exciting. I love it. Glen said he likes it even better than my Edge. I liked my Edge but it got real sucky gas mileage 19, the escape it getting 26 - 27! That's a huge difference. The past 3 SUV's I have owned I have named Jackson, after Alan Jackson. The first one was "Jackson" the 2nd one "Jackson 2" the 3rd one "Jackson 3" and now this one is "Jackson 4" so the next one I will finally have - "The Jackson 5"!

Glen was home for the whole weekend. He got home Fri. night and left Mon. morning. On Sat. they brought me my new car. Then we went to Geneva (with Jackson 4). We went to Tim Horton's for coffee then Tractor Supply, I bought 3 new t-shirts ($7. ea.!) Glen got some boring stuff too. For a while, Glen mowed the lawn and we ordered pizza. On Sun. we went to breakfast with his parents and Ashley for Father's day, it was nice.  Glen worked up at the barn for a while, fixing the tractor and mowing. After lunch we went out for ice cream! We haven't done that in a long time. We had a good weekend, busy with all the running here and there but fun.

Ashley seems to be settling in to her new job. She passed her Medic exam with only 1 wrong! You go girl!! So now she will have 3 different kinds of training - Aide training, Lead Aide training, and medic training, 1 week of each. Then she will be certified and start her actual job... I think.

TV -
SYTYCD - not happy!!!!!!! The girl who went home was my favorite! Alexi, she was so cute and sweet, not fair!!!
Design Star - Again I didn't think it was fair that they sent the girl home that they did. The girl that they kept has a real attitude problem, I don't like her at all!

KNITTING - Ok remember that tank I was knitting, the green and tan one with the real cool pattern? Well I tore it apart and am starting it over! It was way too big and I think I understand the pattern a little better now.
I am also still working on (and will be for quite a while) Christmas gifts.

BOOKS - Finished "The Lost City of Z" by David Grann, It was a very interesting book, not a quick easy read though.
Also read - "Time of my Life" by Allison Winn Scotch, this was good but not great. I was really excited to get this book and was kind of disappointed that I didn't get into it more. Be careful what you wish for - Jill wished she could go back and do it all over again and wakes up 10 yrs in the past! Before her baby was born, before she was married, before her best friend died and she was still with her ex-boyfriend, What does she do differently to change her future?

  4. Congrats to Ashley.
    Like your saying/ billboard.
Nice car...like the smell of a new car. To bad it doesn't stay.
    Nice pictures of your flowers.
To bad you had to rip your sweater out but I have done it and have not regretted it at all. Some times it works up quicker than the first time.
Sounds like you had a very nice weekend.

  6. Hi Wendy, thanks again for hosting me on your blog. Is was fun!

As usual, your pictures are amazing. It's so beautiful there. Summer is kicking in here so everything is turning brown. There's something wrong with that, but it is what it is. :)

The pictures are great as usual. It's been nice here too and things are blooming in a frenzy now. If only the wind would stop so the petals quit falling off.

    Congrats to Ashley!

Sorry you didn't like Time of My Life better. I enjoyed that one by her.
