Where is everyone?

The Giants won the superbowl! Ex-Steeler, Plaxico Burress, made the winning touchdown! That made it all the more exciting. Very good game. Someone asked me a few days ago if I actually thought the giants had a chance of winning. I said - "Yes, I do!" My college daughter went to a superbowl party. She said it was great and and she had a lot of fun. Her favorite player for the Steelers was "Burress" (until he left for the Giants), so it was very exciting for her to see him make the winning touchdown.

For the past three hrs. I have been working on Tax return stuff. This is absolutely, 100%, my very least favorite thing to do! It takes me a good week or two to get everything ready to go to the accountants only to find out how much money we have to pay. As you can see, while I was doing my paperwork, Martina was doing some paperwork of her own. Maybe I should let her tackle our taxes.

I am about 1/3 of the way through my book, Whistling in the Dark. It takes place in the 1950's. Three girls (18, 13, & 10) struggle with life while their mom is dieing in the hospital. Also local young girls their age keep coming up dead! Will they be next?

Knitting this week is slow - too much else to do.

I have exciting news - I was accepted into the Christian Women Online Blogroll! What does this mean? I will have a link in their listing of blogs so other christian women can see mine. If you want to check it out click on CWO Blogroll on the right then click on H-M scroll down through the I's till you come to "its JUST me", if you click on that it will bring you to my blog. How cool is that?

One of my reasons for starting this blog was because so many of my family and friends are are "long distance" -
My mom lives south of Knoxville TN
Two of my nieces are in central CT
My sister and my other niece are 45 min away from me
My daughter is in college 1hr &40 min away
A friend lives in NC
and my brother and sister-in-law are a couple hrs. away
Only a few of my friends live close by.
So - "Hi, to everyone! Where ever you may be."

Oh my gosh, I forgot my friend in AZ till he commented on this post. ~sorry

  2. Hey Wendy,
Like your blog. Not a bad idea for sharing with family and friends. I've been quietly working behind the scene's on library business. Paying bills, doing financial reports and trying to get the addition started. I just picked up some great items for the pre-k kiddies. You, Pat and Chris will love them...I think. We're glad the Super Bowl is over as it was in our "backyard", about 20-25min drive from the house. It was an exciting one to watch that's for sure. Stay warm, have fun with the taxes. Andy
