Iditarod 2012

Today is the official start of the 2012 Iditarod!
As usual I am rooting for my man Lance Mackey.

Every year along with rooting for Lance I also pick an underdog to root for. This year I picked 2!

 

As the 975-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race begins this weekend, Kristy and Anna Berington are the first twins to compete in the event's 40-year history, according to a race spokeswoman.
Anna is a rookie and Kristy has run the race twice before.

The Ceremonial start was yesterday and the actual race begins today - Go Lance (bib # 18), Go Kristy (bib #31) and Anna (bib #33)!

TV - OK let it be known that I am not totally happy with the top 13 pick for American Idol! I am happy with about 2/3 of them. This week is going to Whitney Houston songs  :-(  this will be a sad one. I hope they do her proud - she is a hard one to sing, how do you copy perfection?

Knitting -

Socks again - are you really surprised? This pattern comes from a new I got called "Socktopus" by Alice Yu. It has lots of great patterns and some new stitches I have never tried before.
